I was inspired to do this drawing of fall pumpkins in late summer, when the pumpkins were just beginning to ripen. Who doesn't like to see fall pumpkins after a very warm, even hot, summer?

The colors in the fall pumpkins stand out, and you can almost feel and touch the texture of the pumpkins. I used Artist's Quality Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils to bring out the colors and 9x12 mixed media acid-free paper.
